Arsenal target, Kalidou Koulibaly, has given his biggest hint yet that he could be leaving Napoli this summer.

At the end of May, Arsenal were linked with a £30m move for the 24-year-old centre-back. Although it seemed that a huge amount of money for Arsene Wenger to spend on a centre-half, with Gabriel blowing hot and cold (mostly cold) and Per Mertesacker becoming increasingly dispensable, it would make sense that we were looking for someone else.

Despite Calum Chamber’s verstility, the boss doesn’t seem to have a great amount of faith in the 21-year-old.

Now, Koulibaly has given an interview to french publication, L’Equipe, saying that although he was happy to sign his five-year-deal with the Serie A club three years ago, he is receiving other offers.

“My situation? I have three years on my contract,” said Koulibaly.

“I was very happy at the time when I signed a five-year deal but now I had a great season and I have many offers on the table. I want to make right decision from financial and sporting stand point.”

According to reports, Chelsea are also interested in the Senegalese defender, although the player insists that he hasn’t had contact with the new manager, Antonio Conte, just yet.

“Many great clubs want me and I have no news from Napoli. I get the impression I may leave. I want to keep growing perhaps by going abroad. Have I spoken to Conte? No but it could happen, if Napoli doesn’t contact me I will start talking to other clubs.”

All the information does point to the defender leaving Napoli. However, at this point in time, a move to the Blue side of London is looking more likely.
