Mathieu Flamini has been offered to Panathinaikos as the Frenchman plans for life away from Arsenal next season.

Out of contract in the summer, the London Evening Standard are reporting that Flamini’s wage demands could see the move fall through, but it is unlikely he will be short of offers in the summer.

There had been reports that Flamini wanted a new Arsenal deal, but that was never going to happen.

Besides, we all know how much he loves a free transfer.

Flamini is not likely to be the only departure from the club this summer.

Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky are both out of contract and their ongoing injury problems, coupled with their ages, means they will hardly see a new deal coming their way.

Doubts also hang over the futures of Theo Walcott, Per Mertesacker (though probably not really) and Kieran Gibbs.
