Everton reportedly want to sign Wojciech Szczesny after he completes his loan spell at Roma.

The goalkeeper has become a regular starter for the Serie A team since joining and now it appears Roberto Martinez wants the Pole for his team.

The Toffies’ current goalkeeper, Tim Howard, has been linked with a move to the MLS and if this happens, Martinez is said to want Szczesny to stand in.

It’s unclear where Woj will stand when he returns to north London. Roma are rumoured to want to sign him on a permanent deal but as it stands, it looks as if he is coming back. The question is, would we sell him to Everton? Or at all, for that matter?

Although Everton aren’t exactly rivals, they’re by no means pushovers and losing who would be our second strongest goalkeeper might be a risky move. Although he won’t be challenging Petr Cech for the number one spot, having him as backup could be useful.
