Arsene Wenger revealed that one of his main aims for the next year is to continue dealing with any tough challenges that come our way.

Using our 3-0 away win to Olympiacos to send us through to the knock-out stage of the Champions League as an example, the boss said that if we’re going to have a successful 2016, we need to carry on jumping these hurdles.

“2015 was a positive year for us because we were consistent,” he said.

“We have improved our results.”

He added, “To go to Olympiacos was tough and we dealt with that. Our target is to show that.”

In the past, a couple of results have set the president for our entire season. Although we’ve managed to get back on the horse eventually, it’s been too little too late and it’s always been a ‘close but no cigar’ finish.

This year, although we’ve had our fair share of disappointing results, we’ve managed to recover far quicker than we have before. This means we’ve not taken such a hit in terms of results and are looking far more promising.

Hopefully, as the boss says, we can carry on.
