Part of the reason I love Wenger so much is his ability to unwittingly troll Arsenal fans.

In his pre-Dinamo Zagreb press conference, the boss acknowledged our current injury crisis after both Coquelin and Arteta were struck down in our Premier League match against West Brom. However, rather than offer a solution to the problem, the boss merely appeared to point out the obvious, as if we didn’t already know our squad is already stretched to within an inch of its life.

“I must say we have been hit very hard in November,” he said. “We have lost a few players.

November has never been a good month for Arsenal and Wenger’s comments are bound to wind up a number of fans who were urging him to buy another defensive midfielder in the summer. However, all I can do is chuckle and trust that he knows what he’s doing.

I doubt the comments are deliberately trolling, especially without knowing the context in which he gave them, but I sure do hope he’s got something up his sleeve.
