Currently injured, Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta has had some great words to say about manager Arsène Wenger.
The Frenchman has come under plenty of criticism but a superb performance against Manchester United before the international break has left everyone in high spirits.
A loss to Olympiacos just a few days earlier had seen outrage among fans, but Wenger stood by his players, even defending goalkeeper David Ospina after his horrendous error. His loyalty was rewarded with the win against Louis van Gaal’s side, perhaps it was even a reason for it?
Mikel Arteta on Wenger: “He’s one of the most loyal people I’ve seen in football. He works incredibly hard. He’s patient, he understands.”

It’s hard to argue with anything the Spaniard says, and fantastic to know that our manager makes his players feel so at ease. The respect they have for him will only help the team.
Approaching the end of his career, Arteta recently coached the u16 side. Could he ultimately become Wenger’s replacement? It wouldn’t be the biggest shock ever…would it?
