Joel Campbell set up the winning goal for Costa Rica on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning as they defeated Uruguay 1-0.

The forward, who looked like he was set for the exit door at the Emirates, was blocked from leaving by the manager after the club failed to land another striker in the window.

Starting the game for his country, he picked up a booking in the second half but will no doubt be hopeful that his assist will have been noticed by the boss especially given the calibre of the opposition.

Still probably won’t get him any game time, though.
