German midfielder Mesut Özil was happy to see strikers Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud get amongst the goals on Saturday afternoon.
The Arsenal forwards have come under plenty of criticism but both got on the scoresheet to gift the Gunners a 2-0 win against Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium.
Özil has constantly laid chances on for the Arsenal men and gained some amount of sympathy from Arsenal fans, having previously been serving the likes of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
Nonetheless, Mesut was glad to see both strikers score on Saturday to temporarily move Arsenal up to second in the table.
Job done. 2⃣ striker goals make us 2nd of the table for the moment. Have a nice weekend Gunners! 💪😎 #YaGunnersYa pic.twitter.com/bzsfVTJaZ1

We now sit in third following Manchester United’s win, but we won’t let that dampen the mood after a promising performance.
