Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson slammed Mike Dean and his officials on Twitter after they failed to send off Diego Costa, despite the striker hitting Laurent Koscielny in the face.
Instead, centre-back Gabriel allowed himself to get riled up by the incident and subsequently sent off due to a backwards swing of his leg in Costa’s direction. The match, which we’d been more than adequate in up until this point, was then only ever going to go in one direction.
This isn’t the first time the Chelsea man’s abhorrent behaviour has gone unpunished. Nor is it the first time match officials have been completely incompetent and Wilson appears to be at the end of his tether, tweeting:
