Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy has been in the capital for just over a year, but could already be on his way out again.

The defender suffered two serious injuries during his first Arsenal season but has been fully fit at the start of the new campaign. However, the fantastic breakthrough of Héctor Bellerín has seen Debuchy left sat on the bench and he isn’t best pleased.

As a result, he could already be on his way out of the club, and We Are The City (per Liverpool Echo) are linking him with a move to fellow Premier League side Everton.

The right-back would certainly suit Roberto Martinez’s preferred style, but what would that mean for Seamus Coleman? The Irishman is one of Everton’s key men and a guaranteed starter.

Debut admitted last week that he considered seeking a move away from the Emirates Stadium at the end of the summer after it became clear that Bellerín is currently Arsène Wenger’s preferred option.

With France hosting Euro 2016 next summer Debuchy will be desperate for regular football. Bacar Sagna seems to have usurped Pablo Zabaleta for the spot at Manchester City and Didier Deschamps will look upon that favourably when picking his squad, and his starting eleven, next summer.

If things continue as they’ve begun this season it’s hard to imagine Debuchy starting for his country as they host the European Championships, so he may well seek a move away in January. Having said that, with Coleman at the club that just refused to sell John Stones at any price, it seems unlikely that Debuchy will be plying his trade at Goodison Park.
