Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Serge Gnabry will indeed be joining West Brom on loan.

During his presser ahead of facing West Ham on Sunday in our Premier League opening match, the boss confirmed that the young winger would be on his way to the Baggies.

Contrary to what was reported yesterday, the loan move is until the end of the season and not only for six months.

“He had a medical yesterday and it will be confirmed today,” Wenger said. “It’s a good opportunity for him.”

As Wenger said, the move can be great for the 20-year-old. It’ll get him playing time and allow him to reach Premier League fitness after suffering from a severe knee injury for most of last season.

Last season, the talented winger only featured eight times for the Arsenal u21s, and although he’s found a place in our first team before, especially during cup matches, I don’t see him getting regular playing time with us unless a few players get injured.

If he gets consistent minutes on the pitch at West Brom, which he should do, he’ll be a huge talent.
