Loanee, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, dazzled everyone on Tuesday for Ipswich against Burnley.
The youngster picked up his first assist and even got a pre-assist to boot.
For the pre-assist, the 17-year-old passed the ball smoothly out wide to Brett Pitman, who crossed the ball into the box for Freddie Sears to poke into the back of the net smartly.
The assist was more direct. The winger made a superb cross from a corner, which landed sweetly on the head of David McGoldrick who angled it into the net.
The youngster showed not just talent but also maturity and strength – it’s encouraging to see.
