Unfortunately, the riveting transfer saga that has involved Joel Campbell potentially joining Palermo is over.
Palermo’s president has indeed confirmed, in not so many words, that Arsenal are being tight so-and-sos and not budging on the winger’s asking price.
It was originally reported that Arsenal were being ‘annoying‘ after the Serie A team had offered £3.5m and we deemed this too low for the 23-year-old.
The president of the club has reportedly said, “Joel Campbell is unattainable. Arsenal won’t change their initial position.”

This is sad news for the winger, who I imagine just wants a club to really call his own at this point. However, the negotiations have been going on for weeks now and if they can’t be resolved, there’s not a lot that can be done.
