Arsene Wenger is targeting perfect pre-season with the Gunners to get their real season off to the best possible start.

Currently in Singapore where they will face a Singapore XI on Wednesday afternoon (UK time), the boss is hoping that they can win every game of their truncated pre-season.

Speaking to the FA’s website ahead of the start of the Barclay’s Asia Trophy, Le Prof said “We want to win every game.

“A few years ago nobody was interested in these [Asia Trophy] games but now there is so much interest in the preparation that if you do not win these games it’s already a crisis.

“It’s important that you start on a positive foot.

“We finished third last season and won The FA Cup. The pressure is on us to do better, but there are plenty of competitors to win the Premier League.

“You have seen the buys clubs have made already, but we will give absolutely everything to do it.”

After the game against Singapore, Arsenal will face with Everton or Stoke before heading home to ready themselves for the Emirates Cup. After that it is just one week until the season curtain raiser against Jose Mourinho’s bus and a real chance for Arsenal to throw down a marker ahead of the new campaign.
