Jack Wilshere played 66 minutes for England in their 0-0 against the Republic of Ireland and is hoping for more playing time against Slovenia next week.

Speaking ahead of the European Championship Qualifying match due to take place on June 14th, the midfielder admitted his disappointment at the team not being able to score against Ireland, despite creating chances.

He revealed he believes many of the players have ‘switched off mentally‘ after a short break proceeding the end of the Premier League season.

Fortunately, he said he’s ‘feeling good‘ after the previous match and is more than ready to play the full 90 minutes in the next game, if the England boss, Roy Hodgson, allows.
