Time to play Hull for the fourth time in under 12 months. Yippee.
In addition to our extensive pre-match coverage of the game, we’ve gotten our writers together for a short prediction on how they think the game will pan out.
And if you think we’re just going to throw these predictions out there and then forget about them, fear not.
We’ll be back to take a look at how we did and laughing at the person who got it wrong more than anyone else.
Lee Hurley Win 2-0
I’m predicted a straightforward, professional performance against a Hull side who would make it tough and that’s what we got. I got the score wrong, but the winning margin correct and also managed to predict we’d have far fewer heart attacks than normal. Nobody was predicting the scintillating football we played.
Happy St Totteringham’s Day everyone!
Helen Trantum Win 2-1
I was only one goal out, but in the end the victory was much more comfortable than expected – a complete contrast to the FA Cup final last year!
Santi was back to his sparkling best after a few quiet games – he obviously loves a game against Hull – but Ozil was the biggest difference – simply majestic throughout.
Plus, we sealed the deal for me to hold the domestic North London bragging rights at home for yet another year. Perfect.
Stephen Bradley Defeat 1-2
Remember when Neville Chamberlain walked off a plane after talks with Hitler in September 1938, proclaiming that there would be ‘Peace in our time.‘?
That was the last time someone was as wrong as I was with this prediction. Arsenal were in total control from start to finish. Great result, even better performance.
Paul Williams Win 2-0
As I thought, Arsenal had far too much for a poor Hull side.
It was 3-1, could easily have been more as Santi, Mesut, Alexis and Aaron combined to tear Hull to shreds in a mesmeric first half performance.
Arsenal are guaranteed a minimum of fourth after the win and are just four points from a first top three finish in years.
Sylvain Jamet Win 2-0
Got the scoreline wrong. An easy win tarnished by an imcompetent referee who gifted Hull a goal. Three points, loads of goals, cant complain.
Lewis Ambrose Draw 1-1
I didn’t call that right at all.
When we stepped up a gear we had far too much for Hull, who capitulated. Another year in Europe’s #1 competition will do nicely.
Nia Griffiths Win 2-0
Although I predicted we’d keep a clean sheet, I did predict the two goal difference so I’ll take that small victory.
We played so well – what a team we’re turning into.
A special mention for Mesut Ozil who… well, words fail me.
Sean Ferguson Win 3-0
Missing, assumed drunk.
Mark Fine Win 2-1
I thought this might be a lot harder than it was and we improved our goal difference in the process. Glad I was wrong.
Happy Saint Totteringham’s Day!
Anita Sambol Win 3-0
Oohhh SO CLOSE with my prediction, we just had to let that one in, didn’t we.
Absolutely enjoyed the match on Monday night. It’s such a privilege to watch players like Mesut, Alexis, Santi, and Aaron in our team! Kudos to Jack for looking great in the second half, our fitness team must be doing something great.
Happy St Totteringham’s, now official. Let’s snatch second!
Charlotte Marshall Win 2-1
Well that was almost stress free wasn’t it?
Despite Hull doing their best to boot us up and down the pitch we looked assured and could have quite easily had more.
Mesut Ozil was at his mesmerising best, and we are at least guaranteed our forth placed trophy.
I predicted a win but I did not predict some of the best football we’ve played all season. Happy days
