Lukas Podolski will return to Arsenal in the summer according to his agent.

The forward, who is on loan with Inter Milan for the second half of the season, has failed to do anywhere near enough to convince the Italians that they should sign him on a permanent deal.

Speaking to the press in Turkey, Ali Petkas said

“He’s currently with Inter on loan and when it’s the end of the season he’ll go back to Arsenal, with whom he still has a one year contract.”

Of course, this doesn’t mean that the German has a future at Arsenal, in fact, it would seem like his days as a Gunner are all but done.

Where will he end up?

Well, his agent didn’t rule out the possibility of him playing in Turkey but it’s likely that those were just comments offered up to pander to the audience in front of him.

Podolski seems strangely unaware of the role he is playing in his current plight so it is doubtful that he will accept a step down in level.

Then again, you never know.

Should a Turkish Champions League side be interested him, he might realise that this is his last chance for a final pay day.
