Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino is set to join Arsenal from Real Sociedad for €33.5 million plus €5 million in add-ons. The player will undergo a medical in London today.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino for an initial fee of €33.5 million. The Spanish international has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners.

Club president now in London to complete Arsenal transfer

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has travelled to London to finalise Mikel Merino's transfer to Arsenal, with the deal now all-but-agreed.
