Arsenal have four players in contention for one of the game’s biggest individual honours after the shortlist for the 2026 FIFPRO Women’s World 11 was announced.

Four Arsenal players have been shortlisted for the 2026 FIFPRO Women’s World 11, with Ona Batlle, Emily Fox, Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo all in contention.
The final XI will be announced on Monday 9 November, with the award decided by players voting for their fellow professionals rather than by journalists or supporters.
Batlle’s nomination also takes into account her final season with Barcelona before her move to north London.
The defender ended her time in Spain with a Champions League trophy, a third league title, the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup. She was also selected in the Spanish league’s team of the year.

Fox, Kelly and Russo, meanwhile, were part of the Arsenal side who finished second in the Women’s Super League and won the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
Fox also won the 2026 SheBelieves Cup with the United States and was named in both the Champions League and WSL teams of the season.
Russo’s place on the shortlist follows her selection as England Women’s Player of the Year. She was also included in the Champions League team of the season after scoring nine goals in 12 European appearances last term.
Kelly contributed six goals in 28 appearances across all competitions during the campaign.
Arsenal already have a strong history in the World 11.
Sari van Veenendaal became the first Arsenal player selected in 2019, before Vivianne Miedema followed in 2020 and 2021.
Leah Williamson and Beth Mead were included in 2022, while Russo made the team in 2023.
Williamson, Kelly and Russo were all selected again in 2025, alongside Batlle, who was still a Barcelona player at the time.
