William Saliba is pushing to be included in Arsenal’s travelling squad for the midweek Champions League clash with Slavia Praha, having returned to full training.

Football insider Hand of Arsenal broke the news on Monday evening that William Saliba has now returned to full training with Arsenal, having taken part in individual training since early October.
Saliba hasn’t been in action on the pitch since July 14th, well over three months ago, but he’s now in contention to return to the matchday squad.
That’s according to Ryan Taylor of Football.London, who reports that Saliba is making a late push to be included in Arsenal’s squad for the Slavia Praha game on Wednesday. Taylor clarifies that there are no guarantees, but the noise from Saliba’s camp is positive.

Hand of Arsenal concurs with that assessment, with both suggesting that Saliba’s involvement will depend on how he comes through Arsenal’s final training sessions.
The team will hold an open session in front of the media on Tuesday, presumably providing official confirmation that Saliba is indeed involved in full training.

Saliba’s involvement against Slavia Praha shouldn’t make a great deal of difference. It’s already a game the Gunners should be looking to win, and Ezri Konsa has done an excellent job so far in Saliba’s absence.
The French international’s return would instead by significant in terms of what it could mean for later this month, which includes a trip away to Newcastle United, and hosting games against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
Then early December involves playing Tottenham Hotspur away, and hosting Real Madrid. Having Saliba back for all of those games could make a real difference.
