Arsenal’s yellow shirt continues flawless start to season

Arsenal might want to keep the yellow kit close at hand after maintaining their perfect record in it with Sunday’s 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game in the first half as Arsenal finally ended their 14-year wait for a Premier League victory at the ground.

It was also their fourth appearance in this season’s yellow third kit and their fourth win.

Arsenal had already beaten Aston Villa, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest while wearing yellow before adding Liverpool to the list.

The comparison with the much nicer blue away kit is difficult to miss.

Arsenal are still waiting for their first competitive win in blue this season, having drawn with Bayern Munich in the Champions League before losing to Fleetwood Town on penalties in the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal have now lost in both their home and away kits this season. They were wearing red against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Yellow, meanwhile, remains victorious.

Arsenal travel to Slavia Praha in the Champions League on Wednesday and, with the Czech side playing in red and white, Mikel Arteta’s team could be back in blue.

That kit choice has not been confirmed, though, at the time of writing.
