Arsenal are reportedly preparing to strengthen their attack in January, with versatility, as usual, a key quality they want in any new arrival.

Arsenal will look to strengthen their attack in January, with versatility at the top of the list when the transfer window reopens.
According to Mirror Football, Mikel Arteta wants another forward capable of operating in more than one position, rather than simply adding a specialist centre-forward.
Bournemouth attacker Eli Junior Kroupi and Juventus winger Kenan Yıldız are both named among the players being considered.
Kroupi is described as a player Arsenal want to revisit after previous interest, although Bournemouth are reportedly reluctant to sell him midway through the season.
The 20-year-old made his return from injury at the end of last month and has already grabbed an assist despite being yet to start this season.

Yıldız, meanwhile, remains among the options as Arsenal consider adding to the left side of their attack.
The two names offer an indication of the sort of qualities Arsenal are said to be looking for rather than evidence that a deal for either player is likely to go ahead. January deals are notoriously difficult and often overpriced but, as we saw with Leandro Trossard‘s arrival, they can also hit that sweet spot.
Whether either of these stories develop into a January move will depend on what their clubs are prepared to accept, how far Arsenal decide to push once the window opens, and, of course, if the players are willing to move.
