Martin Zubimendi picked up a knock in Arsenal’s warm-down following Saturday’s match against Leeds United, according to a report.

Reports since Arsenal’s win over Leeds United have revealed that Piero Hincapie suffered an injury during the post-match warm-down, with the defender having to be carried from the pitch by Illan Meslier.
But it seems Hincapie wasn’t the only one to struggle with the post-match session, as AFCAMDEN reports on Twitter that Martin Zubimendi also picked up a knock.
The hope is that the midfielder will be alright for Tuesday’s game, but he sustained the knock taking part in a small-sided game after the actual match.

Zubimendi did travel away with Spain over the international break, but it shouldn’t have been a particularly taxing two weeks.
The first game was in London, the second two in Spain, and the last in Croatia, and Zubimendi only started one of the four fixtures, coming off the bench in two more. He was then an unused substitute against Leeds.
In all, the 27-year-old midfielder has only started one game in all competitions for Arsenal this season, plus that one more for Spain. So it would be a surprise if his injury setback was related to fatigue.

As mentioned, Arsenal have a game on Tuesday, facing Lille OSC in the Champions League. Mikel Arteta should provide an update on Hincapie and Zubimendi in his pre-match press conference on Monday.
