Footage of the aftermath of Piero Hincapie’s injury has emerged online, with the defender clearly very unhappy and in need of assistance to leave the pitch.

Following reports of an injury to Piero Hincapie during the post-match warm down on Saturday, footage has now been posted online of the aftermath of the setback.
In the clip, it appears as though Hincapie’s teammates are initially attempting to help him limp off the pitch. But with the defender even struggling to do that, Illan Meslier picks him up and carries him off.
Hincapie can be seen grabbing at his lower leg, and burying his face in his elbow, clearly unhappy about the injury.

Sami Mokbel’s report for the BBC and Sam Dean’s for The Telegraph both suggest it’s too early at this stage to know whether the injury is serious, but it may not be long until we find out.
Arsenal are in action again on Tuesday, playing Lille in the Champions League, so Mikel Arteta will hold a press conference on Monday. He’ll undoubtedly be questioned about the problem.
If the injury is even a little bit serious, there’s little doubt Hincapie will miss that match on Tuesday night.

The injury will be frustrating for Hincapie, who had only just returned to the pitch after missing the international break with a muscle problem.
The defender was also absent for the League Cup game against Ipswich Town on September 15th due to injury, and though he technically made the squad that weekend against Brighton, he was unused and clearly not fully fit.
The belief was that Hincapie had now overcome his injury issue, and that he was ready to make his comeback. But this new problem may now leave him sidelined once again.
