After his short and successful spell at Arsenal, Christian Norgaard left for fellow Premier League side Everton over the summer, but he’s still yet to make an appearance for the Merseyside club.

Norgaard has missed the first seven games of Everton’s season with a groin injury, and it’s only now that it seems he’s preparing for a comeback.

Everton posted on social media on Tuesday to confirm that Norgaard is now back in full training and building up to his debut.

Aside from simply wishing their former player well, Arsenal will be interested to hear that Norgaard is almost back, as the Gunners face a visit from Everton later this month.

Norgaard could make his first competitive appearance back at the Emirates Stadium since leaving Arsenal on October 24th, when his former club and his current one face off in a Premier League match.

On paper, this isn’t set to be an easy month for Everton. They face high-flying promoted club Hull City away from home, then host Chelsea, before travelling away to Arsenal, then wrapping October up with a League Cup match against Newcastle United.

But having made an unbeaten start to the new campaign, Everton will be in good spirits. The return to fitness of their Premier League-winning midfield summer signing will be another boost.
