2 ex-Arsenal players delete social media posts after 3 defeats

Former Arsenal players Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe have removed all their Instagram posts about Fulham, as the club struggle with a poor start to the season.

Fulham fans have spotted that both Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe have hidden many of their old Instagram posts, with Iwobi removing everything except one non-football post, and Smith Rowe getting rid of it all.

It’s not clear exactly when Smith Rowe’s profile went dark, but he’s definitely removed or hidden all of his old posts.

As for Iwobi, this isn’t the first time he’s removed or hidden his posts relating to Fulham, as he did the same thing earlier this year. The former Gunner did reactivate many of his posts in late May, but he’s now removed almost every single image on his profile.

The timing of the removals is unlikely to be coincidental, with Fulham making a very poor start to the season.

The club have lost all three of their opening Premier League fixtures to sit 19th in the table, with only promoted Coventry City suffering a worse start to the campaign – on goal difference.

Iwobi started all three of those games, whilst Smith Rowe made substitute appearances in two of them and was unused in the other. But Smith Rowe did play in Fulham’s only competitive win so far this season, scoring in a 3-0 League Cup victory over AFC Wimbledon.

If Iwobi and Smith Rowe are unhappy, it’s unclear exactly what the reasoning is beyond Fulham’s poor form. But they aren’t the only ones, with Kevin posting a cryptic message and Kenny Tete supposedly making a frustrated comment to a fan about the manager after the team’s most recent loss.

Unfortunately, things are unlikely to get any easier for Fulham this weekend, as they travel away to Liverpool. Though Liverpool haven’t had a perfect start to the season themselves, they remain unbeaten after a win and two draws.

It’s going to require a big effort from a seemingly disconnected group of players to turn things around at Anfield.
