Emily Fox has signed a new contract with the Arsenal Women, having entered the final year of her previous deal with the club.
Arsenal have confirmed that Emily Fox has signed a new deal with the club, following months of contract negotiations.
Fox had reportedly entered the final year of her existing contract, and she’d been in talks with Arsenal over an extension throughout 2026. As a result, it’s very positive to see the club have now successfully reached an agreement.
“I’m so happy to be extending my stay here,” Fox said of the news. “This has felt like home since the moment I joined, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent this club and compete for titles.
“To be a part of Arsenal is to be a part of something bigger, and I feel like I’m in the best place to keep pushing for more.”
Fox is certainly highly-rated throughout the WSL and beyond, having recently been included in the PFA Team of the Year for 2025/26, as well as the Champions League Team of the Year.
There’s no doubt plenty of clubs would have been interested in signing her up if she continued to run her contract down, but the 28-year-old has now committed her future to north London.
Fox has been with Arsenal since 2024, joining from North Carolina Courage after spending all of her early career in the United States. She’s won the Women’s League Cup, the Women’s Champions League, and the Women’s Champions Cup with the Gunners so far.
Whilst playing her club football in Europe, Fox continues to represent the USWNT internationally, making 78 appearances since her debut in 2018.
Arsenal fans will be delighted to learn of Fox’s extension, and hopefully she continues to be one of the best right-backs around for many years to come.
