Gabriel Martinelli’s time at Arsenal is officially over after the Brazilian completed a permanent move to Al-Hilal, ending a seven-year spell in north London.

The 25-year-old had been with Arsenal since 2019 after signing for just £7m. Reports put the value of the deal at €70 million (£60m).

The Athletic had previously reported that Arsenal valued Martinelli at around £60 million, and that’s the figure they ended up receiving, with no add-ons in the deal.

Martinelli has agreed a four-year contract with Al-Hilal, running until 2030, according to ge.

Martinelli rejected an earlier approach from Galatasaray, but was open to Al-Hilal’s proposal once the Saudi club made its move.

It is a club record sale for Arsenal, smashing the £35m they received from Liverpool for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
