Greek Super League side Levadiakos have confirmed the signing of former Gunner Mohamed Elneny as a free agent.
Levadiakos FC have officially announced the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, with the player joining as a free agent.
Elneny had been on the books with UAE Pro League club Al-Jazira up until the end of 2025/26, making 61 appearances for the side across two seasons. But after coming to the end of his contract in June, he’s been without a club for the last few months.
The 34-year-old has now ended his brief spell as a free agent, returning to Europe to play in the Greek first-tier.
Elneny will be aware he has a job on his hands with Levadiakos, who sit bottom of the Super League after the first five games of the new season.
But the team are coming off the back of a couple of good years, having achieved their best-ever Super League finish of sixth place in 2025/26, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Greek cup.
Levadiakos will hope the addition of Elneny will inspire them to recapture that strong form from last year.
Elneny has remained close with Arsenal despite leaving the club in 2024, returning to watch games at the Emirates Stadium from the stands. He’s also earned his UEFA A License with the help of the English FA since his departure from the Gunners.
That suggests a career in coaching is in Elneny’s future, but in the present, his playing days aren’t done yet.
