Arsenal’s win over Ipswich Town helped them into the fourth round of the League Cup on Tuesday night, but who will the Gunners face next?
Following Tuesday’s win away to Ipswich Town, Arsenal have confirmed their spot in the fourth round of the 2026/27 League Cup, with the next round of fixtures to take place during the week commencing October 26th.
The round four ball numbers for the draw have been confirmed, with Arsenal taking number 2 on this occasion.
The draw will take part on Wednesday night on Sky Sports, following the third-round match between Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion. Pien Meulensteen, Jamie Redknapp, and Ashley Young will host the draw.
United’s game isn’t the only one still outstanding, with five third-round ties still to be played. That includes holders Manchester City, who face Norwich City at home.
But the first 11 teams in the hat have been confirmed, with the full list of ball numbers as follows:

- Liverpool

As mentioned, the game will take place in the week commencing October 26th, which will put it between Arsenal’s game at home to Everton on Saturday, October 24th, and the game away to Liverpool on Sunday, November 1st.
With the existing Saturday-Sunday schedule, the midweek turnaround shouldn’t be too difficult by Arsenal’s usual standards.
But there is a possibility of a double header against Liverpool or Everton, or a tough game against one of the other big-six teams still in the competition (ruling out Spurs). Ideally, Arsenal would avoid one of the top teams for a bit longer, allowing for some rotation.
