Arsenal are set to debut their new third kit for the 2026/27 season during Wednesday’s friendly match against Real Betis in Dublin.
John Williamson of AFC Fixture News reports that Arsenal will be playing in their new yellow third kit during Wednesday’s friendly match against Real Betis.
The Gunners men’s team gave their unofficial friendly debut to the blue away kit in Saturday’s 4-1 win away to Girona, and they’ll now give the yellow third kit an outing in Dublin.
It’s certainly not surprising that Arsenal will be debuting the third kit on Wednesday, as that’s presumably why they released it on Monday, despite being less than a fortnight after the away kit release.
The Gunners’ remaining friendly matches are also at the Emirates Stadium, and they will likely wear the red and white home kit for those games, as well as the Community Shield on August 16th, and the Premier League opener on August 21st. So this is the best opportunity to showcase the third kit.
Arsenal have occasionally worn a new away kit or a new third kit during pre-season home games, so that also remains an option. Though Borussia Dortmund generally wear yellow, and Como wear blue, so the red and white kit makes a lot more sense.
If Arsenal don’t wear it in the Emirates Stadium friendlies, the blue away shirt may not be used for a while now.
After wearing red and white against Manchester City and Coventry City, the Gunners are likely to wear yellow at Villa Park. The Gunners then have a home game against Chelsea to kick off September.
Whether Arsenal then wear blue will depend on the Champions League draw for the following midweek, though the team are definitely likely to wear it away to Sunderland on September 12th.
