Bobby Vincent and Tom Canton report for Football.London that both Chelsea and Manchester United have been offered the opportunity to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer, adding that Arsenal could be tempted following the recent arrival of Bruno Guimaraes.

The report highlights that Lewis-Skelly only signed a new contract with the Gunners last summer, but he’s been offered out in light of the fact his midfield competition at Arsenal is set to increase.

It’s reportedly not clear whether Chelsea will actually make a move, but Football.London suggest Lewis-Skelly has been on their radar for some time.

The report adds that if Arsenal were made a good offer by Chelsea, the Gunners would find it hard to say no. But the Blues have already made 10 signings this summer, so such an offer may be a long shot.

There’s no suggestion in the piece that Arsenal themselves are the ones offering Lewis-Skelly out, so it’s likely it’s more to do with the player’s camp.

That’s not surprising, considering they’ll want him to be playing regular football in 2026/27. But Arsenal have a lot of control over the situation, with Lewis-Skelly under contract until 2030. A potential transfer would have to suit everyone.

Lewis-Skelly played 36 times for Arsenal in 2025/26, helping the team to win the Premier League and reach the final of the Champions League and the League Cup.

At just 19, the expectation should be for the left-back/midfielder to have a long club career ahead of him, and any potential sale fee would need to reflect that.

For now, Arsenal have been planning with Lewis-Skelly in their squad, and he’s played a significant role during pre-season. Until Chelsea or Manchester United firm up their interest, it remains likely the player will still be in north London on September 2nd.
