Arsenal were one of five big-six clubs to receive a Premier League draw in the League Cup third round, with the Gunners to travel away to Ipswich Town.

The League Cup draw for the third round was completed on Wednesday night, with Arsenal learning their first opponents in the competition.
Whilst the Premier League clubs without European football have already been taking part in the League Cup second round this week, Champions League clubs like Arsenal only enter in the third round in the week commencing September 14th.
The exact date and time will be confirmed in due course, but Arsenal are due to travel away to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town.

The big news from the rest of the draw was an all big-six tie between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, whilst Manchester United have also drawn Premier League opponents, hosting Brighton & Hove Albion.
If Chelsea can win their second-round tie against Luton Town on Thursday night, they’ll then host Leeds United in the third round for another Premier League matchup.
Premier League clubs could face teams from as far down the football pyramid as League Two, but five of the big-six are set to play sides in their own division instead.
The only exception is Manchester City, who will play at home to Championship Norwich City. The full draw is below.
