Arsenal loanee Charles Sagoe Jr. returned to competitive action with Kalmar FF on Sunday by providing a brace of assists against Orgryte.

Last week, we covered Arsenal loanee Charles Sagoe Jr.’s latest goal in a friendly match against Brommapojkarna, and the young winger carried that form into competitive action over the weekend.
Following a break of over a month, the Swedish first-tier started back up on Friday. The Allsvenskan operates on a calendar-year basis, so this isn’t the start of a new campaign, but a continuation of the old one.
Sagoe Jr. looked like he’d never been away, assisting Kalmar’s first and second goals in a 3-0 win.

For the first goal, Sagoe Jr. cut inside before laying the ball off to Carl Gustafsson, who fired a long-range finish into the bottom corner. A similar situation 20 minutes later led to Kalmar hitting the post from another Sagoe Jr. lay-off.
The Arsenal loanee’s second assist involved a more straightforward finish, as the winger cut back a pass to the centre of the penalty area for Abdussalam Magashy to guide a finish home from a little in front of the penalty spot.
Sagoe Jr. came off in the 80th minute, with Kalmar securing victory with a third goal not long afterwards.
Arsenal’s 21-year-old loanee now has two goals and seven assists in his first 13 competitive games for Kalmar, and he’ll remain out on loan until January 2027.
After that, he’ll return to Arsenal with just six months left on his contract.
