Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson is open to a move abroad this summer, and Benfica and Valencia are among the clubs interested in picking him up.

Sami Mokbel reports for the BBC that Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson is attracting interest from a number of overseas clubs, with Benfica and Valencia among those monitoring his situation.
Mokbel claims Nelson has turned down some interest from within the Premier League, but he’s open to a move abroad this summer, and Arsenal are willing to sell.
Nelson has one more year on his contract with the Gunners, so a permanent transfer would make more sense than another loan move.

Though Nelson is seemingly looking to move abroad, former loan club Fulham are among the English clubs interested in signing him.
In the meantime, Nelson has linked up with the Arsenal senior squad for pre-season, making his return on the first day back at London Colney on Monday.
With the likes of Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka on holiday, Leandro Trossard leaving the club, and Gabriel Martinelli set to join up with the squad a little late, there may be some early pre-season opportunities for Nelson in the coming weeks.

When the competitive action starts, there’s little expectation 26-year-old Nelson will be involved. The addition of Christos Tzolis makes up for Trossard’s departure, and Arsenal are still looking to add another winger to their existing options.
