Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday night that Besiktas have fully agreed a deal to sign Leandro Trossard, both with Arsenal and the player himself.

Trossard’s green light was the final piece of the puzzle, and he reportedly accepted Besiktas’ offer on Monday. The Turkish club have been pushing for the signing for a full year, and they’ve finally got it all in place now.

Trossard will fly to Istanbul on Tuesday night for his medical and contract signing, before the move is made official.

Elsewhere, Turkish outlet Ortacizgi report that Trossard is set to arrive at around 8:30pm local time, with Ortacizgi journalist Murat Ozen reporting that Besiktas are even considering holding a signing ceremony at Besiktas’ home ground on Thursday.

Trossard will reportedly sign a three-year deal with the option of a fourth, for a salary around €7m (£6m) per year.

It’s been reported in the media for a while now that Besiktas have a €20m (£17.1m) agreement with Arsenal to sign Trossard, with €18m due upfront and another €2m in potential add-ons.

The deal was put on hold while Trossard competed at the World Cup, but with Belgium’s elimination, things are starting to move ahead now.

Fabrizio Romano claimed this week that once Trossard leaves, Arsenal could go ahead with their move for Christos Tzolis of Club Brugge. Tzolis is very keen on the move, and in recent days he knocked back a rival offer for his signature to wait for Arsenal instead.

Arsenal are also pursuing a big-money wide option this summer, with Morgan Rogers reportedly the priority.
