Arsenal youth product Amario Cozier-Duberry was the subject of a recent £5m bid from Anderlecht, but the winger’s new club Brighton and Hove Albion turned it down.

Andy Naylor reported for The Athletic this week that Brighton and Hove Albion had rejected an approach from Anderlecht for ex-Arsenal academy winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.
Anderlecht reportedly offered a £5m package in talks with Brighton, with Naylor adding that Augsburg, Paris FC, and Rangers are also keen on the player.
But Brighton want to keep the 21-year-old for potential first-team integration this season, and talks are ongoing to extend his contract beyond 2028.

Elsewhere, Brighton outlet The Argus report that Championship club West Ham United have also had a £5m bid turned down, following Cozier-Duberry’s strong season in League One with Bolton Wanderers.
Bolton boss Steven Schumacher recently confirmed that the player is expected to get pre-season opportunities with Brighton.
“He plans to go back into Brighton and start pre-season with them, so I hope he goes and does really well,” Schumacher said. “I hope he gets an opportunity at Brighton. I’m sure he will play the pre-season games there.”

Cozier-Duberry scored 10 goals and assisted another 10 on loan with Bolton last season, helping them to achieve promotion to the Championship through the play-offs.
That was despite a knee injury limiting him to 41 appearances in all competitions, ruling him out from late January to early April.
Cozier-Duberry spent five years with Arsenal up until 2024, when he refused to sign a new deal and joined Brighton for a training compensation fee. He’s yet to play a competitive fixture for the Premier League club, but his positive loan spell last season seems to have put him in contention now.
