Lisa Baum joins for €600,000 after scoring six goals and providing three assists in her first season at Leipzig.

Arsenal have paid a Bundesliga record fee to sign Lisa Baum from RB Leipzig, underlining how highly the club rate one of Germany‘s brightest young talents.
According to BILD, Arsenal will pay €600,000 for the 19-year-old winger, with the deal made up of a substantial guaranteed fee and additional payments that are expected to be triggered throughout her time in London.
No female player has previously commanded a higher transfer fee from a Bundesliga club.
The move surpasses the previous record of €550,000, which was paid when Lara Prasnikar left Eintracht Frankfurt for Utah Royals.
Baum completed her move to Arsenal after attracting interest from across Europe. BILD reports that Barcelona, Lyon, Manchester United and Bayern Munich were all in the race before Arsenal secured her signature.

The winger had only joined RB Leipzig from Hamburger SV a year ago but quickly established herself as one of the club’s key players. In her first season, the Tanzania-born forward scored six goals and provided three assists.
Speaking after her unveiling, Baum said: “I’m so happy to join Arsenal and I can’t wait to get started.
“This league is so competitive and Arsenal is a big club, so I’m excited to challenge myself and compete with the best.
“I want to win trophies and develop my game, and Arsenal feels like the perfect match to achieve that.”
Head coach Renée Slegers said:
Lisa is a young wide forward who will bring direct intent and athleticism to our attacking group. At 19, she is still developing and we believe she has huge potential, which we will support her to achieve.
“We welcome her to Arsenal and look forward to the road ahead together.”
