The second-chance route to the 2027 Women’s World Cup is now set for European teams, after the first phase of qualification ended with Germany, France, Denmark and Spain booking their places in Brazil.

A further 32 teams still have a route to the tournament, provided they can come through two rounds of play-offs, or three in the case of the lowest-ranked successful side.

UEFA will send 11 teams to Brazil, four group winners and seven play-off winners. The lowest-ranked play-off winner will enter the inter-confederation play-offs.

There will be two rounds of UEFA play-offs.
