Jeremy Monga has opened the door to an Arsenal transfer amid ongoing negotiations between the Gunners, the player, and Leicester City.

Fabrizio Romano reports the Arsenal are pushing to advance on a deal to sign Jeremy Monga from Leicester City in talks with both Leicester and the player’s camp.
Romano adds that amid the ongoing discussions, Monga has opened the door to a move to Arsenal.

Josh Holland of LeicestershireLive confirmed this week that Arsenal talks were underway for the signing of the Leicester City youngster.
Though Holland reported that Leicester don’t need to sell, he added that there’s an incentive to do so, as Monga’s sale would be classed as pure profit.
Given Leicester’s relegation to the Championship and the associated loss of revenue, Holland wrote that it’s also the case that a big fee for any player is unlikely to be rejected.

James McNicholas also reported for The Athletic that with Monga having already agreed to sign professional terms with Leicester City this summer, the player could cost £10-15m if Arsenal wanted to sign him.
That would obviously be a major investment for a 16-year-old player, though Arsenal’s owners are reportedly keen on the club signing young players with room to develop.
Monga made 10 starts for Leicester in all competitions this season, scoring one goal and assisting two more. He’s also an England u19 international, making 10 appearances for the side this season and playing alongside Dowman on a couple of occasions.
