Arsenal hold serious interest in PSG winger

Arsenal have a serious and genuine interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer, with the player’s contract situation in France remaining uncertain.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is a top target for Arsenal, following an update from football insider Hand of Arsenal earlier in the day.

Hand of Arsenal had reported that Andrea Berta has been in regular contact with Barcola’s agent to make it clear the player is of serious interest to Arsenal. The Gunners’ sporting director has made it clear that if PSG become open to a sale, Arsenal want to know.

Barcola’s camp remain in talks with PSG over a potential contract extension, but those close to the player believe he was disappointed not to start in a number of important fixtures in 2025/26, and PSG are ready to sell if he won’t renew.

Reports of Arsenal’s interest in Barcola have been building over the last month. Hugo Delom reported for L’Equipe on May 17th that if the winger leaves PSG, it will most likely be to England, with both Arsenal and Liverpool interested.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed on May 22nd that Arsenal hold a genuine interest in the winger, with the Gunners looking to make a significant addition to their attack this summer.

James McNicholas then reported for The Athletic on June 2nd that Barcola was one of the attackers Arsenal admire ahead of the summer transfer window.

So the reports of Arsenal interest in Barcola aren’t new, but they’re steadily starting to pick up speed now. The longer the summer drags on without the player extending his contract, the greater the chances that the Gunners firm up that interest with a bid.

Following his 21 goals and 20 assists for PSG in 2024/25, Barcola had a much quieter campaign in 2025/26, scoring 13 and assisting six.

That’s partly because he played over 1,000 minutes less football this season, with a couple of very brief injury absences and that growing sense that Luis Enrique prefers other players in the big games.

The situation could open up the possibility for Arsenal to pounce and sign the 23-year-old, in the hope that he can recapture his previous form.
