Morgan Rogers is on Arsenal’s summer shortlist and is open to joining the Gunners in the upcoming transfer window, according to reports.

Sami Mokbel reports for the BBC that multiple sources claim Aston Villa player Morgan Rogers is open to joining Arsenal ahead of next season.
Mokbel describes Arsenal’s interest as “genuine”, suggesting the player is on the Gunners’ summer shortlist. Though there are other names on the shortlist, and other clubs in for the Villa player, including Manchester United.
Another issue for Arsenal is uncertainty over whether a move for Rogers should be a priority. Internal talks are reportedly being held over how the player would fit in the squad, given Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze are already there as attacking midfield options.
If Rogers were to join, perhaps it would be as a winger, another position he’s played quite a bit this season.

James McNicholas reports for The Athletic that Arsenal have asked to be kept informed of developments in Rogers’ situation this summer.
Jacob Tanswell and Michael Walker add for the same publication that multiple sources around Aston Villa expect the player to leave this summer, though senior club sources claim they’re intent on keeping him.
Rogers is Villa’s biggest asset, and there is reportedly an acceptance that Villa will need to use player sales to comply with financial restrictions this summer. But Villa would prefer to sell others if they can.

Rogers scored 14 goals and assisted another 12 this season, and he’s been called up to the England squad for the World Cup this summer.
Middlesbrough will be watching Rogers’ transfer situation closely, as they’re due 20% of the profit on the £15m they sold him to Villa for in 2024. As an example, a £100m deal would see Middlesbrough netting 20% of £85m, or £17m – which is more than they sold him for in the first place.
