David Raya, Gabriel and Declan Rice have been named in UEFA’s Champions League Team of the Season after Arsenal reached the final and went through the entire competition without losing a match in normal or extra time.

Arsenal were beaten by Paris Saint-Germain on penalties in Budapest on Saturday, a brutal ending to a European campaign that had taken them to within touching distance of the trophy.

Mikel Arteta’s side completed the tournament unbeaten across 90 minutes and extra time, yet still finished as runners-up thanks to some wayward penalties in the shoot-out.

Arsenal kept nine clean sheets during the competition, so it’s no surprise to see Raya selected in goal, with Gabriel named in defence and Rice included in midfield.

All three have been Arsenal’s standout players across all competitions this season.

The full UEFA Team of the Season is Raya, Marcos Llorente of Atletico Madrid, Marquinhos of PSG, Gabriel, Nuno Mendes of PSG, Michael Olise of Bayern Munich, Rice, Vitinha of PSG, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of PSG, Ousmane Dembélé of PSG and Harry Kane of Bayern Munich.
