Arsenal’s Fabio Vieira scored in his final appearance of the 2025/26 campaign on Saturday, in what also might be his last game for loan club Hamburger SV.

Arsenal loanee Fabio Vieira started Hamburger SV’s final game of the Bundesliga season on Saturday, playing away to Bayer Leverkusen.
Vieira has been in good form lately, and he underlined that with an excellent goal in the 61st minute, picking up the ball outside the penalty area and curling into the top corner at the far post for 1-0.
Leverkusen equalised through an own goal with 12 minutes to play, and the game finished 1-1. But Vieira will be pleased that he managed to sign off with a goal, if this is to be his final appearance for HSV.
With his goal against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, Vieira ends the season having either scored or assisted against seven of the Bundesliga’s top-eight clubs.
He scored against Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt, and provided assists against Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim.
The only club in the top-eight Vieira failed to provide a goal contribution against was Freiburg, though he did hit both posts in the game between the two last weekend.

The German media recently reported that HSV don’t intend to activate their option to buy for Vieira, despite his good form. They’re reportedly only able to offer Arsenal a fraction of the €22m buy option they agreed last summer.
Bild suggest Vieira’s future remains open, but it seems there’s little to no chance that a transfer will take place without serious negotiation first.
If HSV can’t afford €22m, Arsenal’s best option is probably just to take the player back and look elsewhere.
As mentioned, the player has shown strong recent form, and he’s ended the season with 13 goal contributions for a bottom-half Bundesliga side despite a very disrupted start to the campaign.
