Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has provided a positive update on his ongoing struggles with a knee injury, suggesting he’s finally starting to feel better.

Martin Odegaard has been in the squad for Arsenal’s last couple of games, coming off the bench as a substitute against Atletico Madrid and West Ham United, but he’s yet to start since his most recent knee injury setback at the start of this month.
The midfielder has been dealing with knee problems all season, and he didn’t play a Premier League game between February 23rd and April 19th – when he made his initial comeback against Manchester City.
Three games later, Odegaard was absent again for Arsenal’s win over Fulham, which has been the story of his season so far.

Yet the 27-year-old is feeling positive about his situation after an impressive cameo against West Ham, in which he assisted Arsenal’s vital winning goal.
“Today, I felt fantastic,” Odegaard told Viaplay (via Ben Dinnery). “It’s been a tough season for me personally. I’ve been fighting my injury.
“I’ve struggled with my knee for a long time, but I’ve fought really hard to be around the team and in the squad and play when I can. I’m finally starting to feel better now.”

The good news for Arsenal’s recurring-injury strugglers is that the Gunners only have one game a week for the remainder of the season. In fact, the team don’t have a game at all this week, with Burnley having been moved to next Monday.
Everyone will have the chance to rest in midweek, which should help those like Odegaard who are trying to stay fit.
