Crystal Palace have had a tight turnaround from their defeat to Arsenal on Sunday to their Europa Conference League final match against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday night, and former Palace star Eberechi Eze has sent them a message of encouragement for the match.

“Crystal Palace boys, you know I’m wishing you guys all the best,” Eze said via TNT Sports. “I’m praying you guys win. I know you’re going to win. You’ve worked so hard to get to this point, and you know what it takes in finals.

“I’m trusting that you’re going to do it and I’m wishing you all the best. God bless you, brothers.”

Palace boss Oliver Glasner replied to the message by thanking Eze, and by noting the player’s own contribution to this Conference League campaign.

“Top, yeah,” Glasner responded. “Really appreciate Eb’s words and that he’s also still aligned with the group, with us. He started also when he played against Fredrikstad in the first games, he also has a little contribution that we are here.

“He also plays a final in a few days, the biggest one, the biggest stage, the Champions League. But that he is still so connected to the players, to Crystal Palace, to all of us, makes me proud. I really appreciate it.”

As Glasner references, Eze was still training with Palace ahead of their Conference League opener, having helped the team to qualify for Europe in the first place by scoring the winning goal in the 2024/25 FA Cup final against Manchester City.

The rest has been down to Palace themselves, and their players will be the ones deserving credit if they can get over the line on Wednesday night. Eze will be supporting them from afar as he prepares for his own final on Saturday.
