Arsenal are one of the clubs showing significant interest in FC Porto 20-year-old Victor Froholdt, according to a report from the player’s home country of Denmark.

Mads Glenn Wehlast reports for Bold.dk that Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United are all showing great interest in Victor Froholdt of FC Porto. Wehlast was previously the first to break news of Arsenal’s bid for Christian Norgaard, then of Brentford.
The report adds that it’s unclear whether Froholdt might really leave Porto after just one season with the club, particularly as he has a contract until 2030 and Porto have qualified for next season’s Champions League.
Arsenal and Liverpool should also be able to offer Froholdt Champions League football, but it’s unlikely Newcastle will have any form of European football to offer.

Arsenal were also linked with interest in Froholdt in late 2025, but at the time it was reported that the player would be unable to move in the January transfer window due to already having represented two clubs this season.
Froholdt has made 49 appearances for Porto since his move last July, but his first appearance of 2025/26 was for FC Copenhagen in their first Superliga fixture of the campaign.
As a result, any potential move had to wait for the summer window, and it seems Arsenal remain interested at this stage.

Froholdt’s 49 Porto games have seen him score eight goals and assist six from midfield, as well as winning the Liga Portugal with his new club.
Arsenal have done some business with Porto in the past, signing Fabio Vieira, loaning the same player back, and selling them Jakub Kiwior. Perhaps they’ll be involved in negotiations with the club again this summer.
