Raheem Sterling is set to be on the move again this summer, with Feyenoord reportedly no longer open to discussing an extension of his short-term deal.

Mikos Gouka reports for Dutch outlet Algemeen Dagblad that Raheem Sterling is set to call time on his Feyenoord stay after their final Eredivisie fixture of the season on May 17th, just over three months after joining the club.
Gouka claims that whilst Feyenoord boss Robin van Persie originally suggested a longer stay for the winger might be open for discussion, that’s no longer the case.
Sterling has reportedly accepted his current role as a substitute, having not been used in Feyenoord’s last game against NEC Nijmegen, and he remains determined to give his all until the end of the season.

Sterling hasn’t scored in his six Feyenoord appearances (four starts) so far, but he did have one significant positive moment as he assisted the winning goal against Excelsior in March.
It was a nice through ball from the former Arsenal loanee, and it earned his team a big three points. Sadly for him and Feyenoord, they’re way off the pace of league leaders PSV, who have already mathematically wrapped up their title win.

Feyenoord are now playing to qualify for the Champions League, with the top-two positions guaranteed a spot in next season’s League Phase, and third place getting the chance to make the tournament through the qualifying play-offs.
As it stands, Feyenoord are second in the table, but they’re only one point clear of third, two points clear of fourth, and four points clear of fifth. Any further slip-ups in the final weeks of the season could quickly take them out of contention.
As for Sterling, the 31-year-old will see out the season and then presumably begin the hunt for his next club.
