Former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has suffered another hamstring injury, in a bitterly frustrating campaign for the Crystal Palace forward.

Ex-Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has seen his minutes severely limited by injuries so far in 2025/26.
The 26-year-old was already out of action with a hamstring injury when the season got underway, and after returning in mid-September he suffered another minor thigh injury in November.
On that occasion, Nketiah was back by the end of the month, but he wasn’t so lucky with his next thigh injury, which has kept him out from the start of 2026 until now.

Just when it looked like the striker might be able to return to action this week, he picked up another setback in his final pre-match training session.
“It looked like everybody was available for tomorrow’s [match] until two minutes before the end of the session,” Glasner said on Wednesday. “Eddie unfortunately injured his hamstring again and had to leave the pitch two minutes before the end of the game.
“He won’t make tomorrow’s squad. He will have a scan again, but it doesn’t really look good for him.
“Of course he was very disappointed and we are really suffering with him. As a player you always think the worst thing is when you don’t play, when you don’t start, but the worst thing is when you are injured and have setbacks, and that makes it very tough for Eddie.”

As for how long Nketiah will be out of action this time, Glasner was still hopeful the injury wouldn’t be season-ending.
“He will have all our support to come back hopefully before the end of the season, but we will know more tomorrow,” the Palace boss admitted.
Palace could still have a major say in the Premier League title race, with a postponed game against Manchester City still to come (likely to end up being played in May), and Arsenal visiting Selhurst Park on the league’s final weekend.
It’s unclear at this point whether Nketiah will be available for either of those matches.
