Arsenal have confirmed that Leah Williamson has signed a new contract.
Leah Williamson has signed a new deal with Arsenal, extending her 20-year stay at the club for another few years.
Williamson, who got on the score sheet as Arsenal thrashed Leicester 7-0 on Wednesday night to move into third place in the WSL with two games in hand, has played 282 times for the senior team since joining as an eight-year-old.

Since then, she has also collected a string of honours including a WSL title, two FA Cups, four League Cups, Champions League, Women’s Champions Cup, and a number of personal honours.
With her country, she has won the Euros twice.

“I don’t feel like I’m done,” she told Arsenal.com. “I think it’s really special to be somewhere where you care so much about the people, the project, the place. I don’t think it’s something to take for granted. After 20 years, I still feel wanted and I want to be here, so I don’t understand why it would have been time to leave this time.
Williamson also confirmed that she had also got an Arsenal tattoo on her hand. “Yeah, and that’s a fan thing,” she said. “That’s got nothing to do with me playing. It’s no secret that Arsenal has been part of my life for a very, very long time, but I’ve been a fan forever. It’s home, everybody knows that. I love the sense of community and we’re just a pretty cool club, to be fair, so I don’t mind having that ink. “
